Where On The Body Can I Get Thermage Treatments?

Where on the body can Thermage be performed?

Thermage is an incredibly versatile, non-invasive treatment that can be performed in numerous areas of the body. While Thermage works wonders practically anywhere, it’s especially effective in the following areas:

Thermage For The Eyes

Hooding, fine lines, and furrowed brows can make even younger men and women look haggard. Thermage erases these tell-tale signs of aging, transforming the upper and lower eyelids for a more youthful and rested look.

Thermage For The Face

As we age, loose jowls and sagging skin creep in, making for a tired, run-down effect. Thermage fights these markers of age, smoothing lines and wrinkles and remodeling collagen for the overall health of the skin.

Thermage For The Body

Crepey, sagging skin, unwanted bulges, dimples—these are the tell-tale signs of the body’s aging process. Thermage can help stop them.  A non-invasive way to smooth the skin, Thermage transforms the body, even temporarily improving the appearance of cellulite.

Two Types of  Thermage Treatments

Thermage treatments today are generally divided into two categories: more superficial treatments for skin tightening and deeper treatments for body contouring. Superficial treatments are performed on the face, neck, and eyelids to induce a tightening effect while deeper treatments are performed on the abdomen, thighs, buttocks, and arms to induce more contouring.

Compared to similar skin tightening treatments, such as mini facelifts, patients obtain superior results with Thermage—but without all the risks and downtime associated with invasive procedures. While mini facelifts require up to a week spent recovering—not to mention they carry an increased risk of complications—with Thermage, patients can resume their normal activities immediately following treatment.

Thermage Works with Your Body

How soon you’ll benefit from Thermage varies. You might see results right away. Or they might appear over time, as your body’s natural collagen rebuilding process sets in. For most patients, however, measurable results appear gradually in the two to six months following a single treatment session. The best part? Those results can last years, depending on your skin condition and the natural aging process. Results continue to improve for up to six months.

But in general, most patients undergoing superficial Thermage treatment (face, eyelids, neck) can appreciate some results immediately after treatment, and results continue to improve for up to six months.  Patients undergoing deep Thermage treatment can often see a change in their measurements at the end of the treatment.

What Can Thermage Do for You?

The best candidates for Thermage are people with mild-to-moderate skin laxity who don’t require modification of muscle or fat underlying the skin. Ideally, they have only modest sun damage and don’t smoke.

Unfortunately, Thermage has difficulty producing superior results on people with thick layers of underlying fat or excessively loose muscles. This is because Thermage can’t remove fat deposits or tighten muscles. Thermage also can’t reverse severely drooping skin—but luckily for many patients, it can correct skin that has begun to sag with age.

Keep in mind also that though Thermage can be performed almost anywhere on the face or body where loose skin is present, it can’t be applied to areas that are tattooed.

Only One Thermage Treatment Needed

You’ll need only one Thermage treatment to reap all the benefits of its innovative technology. During the several months following treatment, you’ll see dramatically tighter, firmer and smoother skin.  Thermage is so effective that it’s the first and only system to receive FDA-clearance for non-invasive, energy-based eyelid treatments.

Science supports Thermage’s impressive results. In clinical trials, participants experienced significant improvement in facial and neck laxity. Recently published studies also show that improvements continue for at least six months after a single Thermage treatment session. Other studies show that thermal collagen changes can last several years, depending on the rate of the aging process.
